Here’s how the week’s gone for me so far.
Monday MC, Tuesday Unpaid leave, Wednesday MC, Thursday Unpaid leave.
To say that I have created a bad rapport amongst my colleagues is an understatement. But whereas in another company, I would have tried my utmost best to cancel out my bad image, for this place, I don’t really give a crap. To top things off, July 1st is pay review day. Oh boy…
Jiapei’s boss called me up and gave me some hinters on how to improve my CV and that it would be nice if I could pop by the office for 2-3 days so that I can add it into my CV. How cool is that for a boss who isn’t even your own? Sigh. How I’d wished I had taken up his job offer in the past. *grumbles*
Gotta go back to work tomorrow. I think I’m about 80% recovered from the dreaded flu bug. Hope that it doesn’t make me go see doctor halfway. It’s tiring.
Alright. Enough talk about work.
Class was as usual tonight; boring. Finished up the assignment last minute, cos of some miscommunication between Tracy and myself. Ended up doing her portion for her, which I don’t think I did it well enough. Oh well… hope we get at least a B. If I had known earlier, I would have done the assignment on my own. Bah.
Okay, time to sleep. Cherrios!

Hi there, to all my viewers from my former blog.
I’ve run out of welcomes and all that mumbo jumbo for this sort of thing. Probably shows how many blogsites I have managed to change over the last year or so.
Well, for starters, will all who reads this want to be linked, please leave your comments here. I’ll be delighted to have you linked here, but I need to have a show of hands.
Okay, setting that aside.
Watching the Brazil vs Ghana match. Ronaldo just made history for being the player with the most goals in the World Cup. More on that after the game, as it’s only 16 minutes young. 3 cards have been shown so far. Not as many as that Portugal vs Holland match though. That was a farce.
Ghana’s gonna get kicked out for sure, but whoa, Nancy! They have just pressured the Brazilian goal with a 40 yarder!
Okay, enough of that.
Alex
I feel weak. As weak as Bruce Banner. The Hulk is trying it's best to come out, but so far, the only thing that managed to come out of me is vomit. Lots of it.
MC today, feeling really sick. So sick that even after medication (which I deem to be lousy) and a good rest, I still feel sick, if not worse than earlier on.
Haven't been able to blog for a bit now, haven't I? Well, the reason being, my company was advised not to use the Internet during office hours, so nuff said on that.
Still waiting to get out of this frigging job and get a nicer one, with nicer people, nicer environment, and hopefully, a nicer paycheck.
Signing off, Alex
Watched game 4 of the NBA Finals, as well as the first match for the night's WC coverage. POWER, two different games, both were almost one-sided affairs.
Miami, powered by D-Wade, totally strolled past Dallas with clinical finishing and tough defense. Dallas were guily of lousy finishing and bad teamwork.
For the WC, Argentina totally destroyed Serbia & Montenegro (S&M *sniggers*) with their superb passing and teamwork. 6-0, good lordy, as football365's reporter put it.
To sum it up, I should have bet more on Argentina. Bah. Ha!
Earl Woods, the father of US golf legend Tiger Woods and the mastermind behind his son's stellar career, died Wednesday after a long battle with cancer, Tiger Woods announced.
Earl Woods, 74, died in the home in the California town of Cypress where he raised his famous son, the golfer said in a statement on his website.
"Im very saddened to share the news of my fathers passing at home early this morning," Woods said.
"My dad was my best friend and greatest role model, and I will miss him deeply. Im overwhelmed when I think of all of the great things he accomplished in his life. He was an amazing dad, coach, mentor, soldier, husband and friend.
"I wouldnt be where I am today without him, and Im honored to continue his legacy of sharing and caring," he said.
Former Green Beret soldier Earl Woods has been battling prostate cancer since 1998.
Over the past few months of riding my bike along the streets of Singapore… I have come to learn of a few things which aren’t really good.
- A minority of drivers signal before filtering lane in front of a bike
- An even smaller minority of that minority say thank you when you allow them to filter
- Motorcycles are deemed to be pesky by car drivers, but what about themselves?
- Drivers speed up upon seeing that you have signalled your intention to filter lanes
- SGeans are KPO when accidents happen, causing huge traffic jams where and when possible
- Traffic police have the ‘authority’ to speed during normal patrols, but not lesser mortals like us
- Traffic police seem to be busier during bonus time
- Bus lanes in SG are redundant, except in TP’s opinion

Watching NBA Finals game 3 even though I know the result, as well as the Tunisia vs Saudi Arabia game. Shaq’s wife is a hottie, especially when she’s jumping up and down wearing that tight white sleeveless tee-shirt. *oops*
In footie news, Cardiff City has signed Magpies homeboy Michael Chopra. Sigh. Though I am sad that this scoring prodigy (In England U-21 and Newcastle reserve ranks), I am happy for him as he was never going to get his chance to shine for his boyhood club, one of the reasons being that he is too similiar to Michael Owen. Newcastle needs a striker in Alan Shearer’s mould.

I think this has been the longest post in a long time, hasn’t it? Heh.
Went to a fengshui master on dear’s request. Though I am sceptical on fengshui, I guessed that it wouldn’t hurt to just go, check it out.
After the appointment, in which I chanced upon my former campmate Kelvin Chee along the way, we headed over to Seoul Garden to have a buffet dinner.. and BOY DID WE EAT!! Not to mention, it cost me almost $50. Gone are the days of $7.99 student meals. Heh.
Alright, gotta go. Time to update my resume. And also to contemplate on whether or not to confirm my appointment with my company, thus increasing my pain and suffering there, as well as my pay by another $250.
Roy Keane has officially called time on his playing career, due to a long-standing battle with his hip.
The midfield general has been outstanding throughout his career, mostly with Manchester United, and has had lots of tiffs with many a player, including one recently retired Alan Shearer.
Though one will definitely be reminded of his unproud tackle on that Manchester City player, Haaland, it's just one of a few blemishes in a glittering career.
*salutes*
But no, I don't club.
Left my house only 5 minutes earlier this morning, and I managed to reach office 10 minutes earlier! Goodness… what a timing difference. Mabbe it was because I was so sick of it all that I sped most of the way. *shrugs*
Today's work was typically… the same. But, it moved on slightly faster than yesterday, which is a good thing.
Went to play ball at Thomson CC after Gawd-knows-how-many-months. Ha! Didn't really play well, but who cares. I'm in it for the exercise. That's probably the only reason why I try to win all the time now. Win more = play more. Logic, no?
Waiting for Andrew to pick me up at about 11pm, then it's supper time with the boys, something which I have not done in a longggggggggg time. Some boys' night out kinda thing. Heh.
Btw.
It's World Cup Time!
Am I relieved? I must say that I have to be.
Though Lee Bowyer is a talented attacking midfielder, who played tremendously well in some of the Magpies' games last season, his attack on Kieron Dyer the previous season still haunts me. And, in selling him, maybe there's a chance for James Milner to come back into the club, but as Solano's cover, since he himself is a winger.
In certain websites, they proclaim that Steed Malbranque (goodness, I know how to spell his name) is being targetted by Roeder as playmaker for Owen and Ameobi. Hmmm. Is that why Bowyer left?
Also, in the news. Michael Chopra may be leaving Newcastle. That's sad lah! This lad can score, and he lays off passes well too! Sian lah. If I were them, he would be the supersub. Newcastle needs a strong striker up front, just like how Shearer was, to complement Owen, who in certain websites, is rumoured to be on his way as well. I hope not.
NBA Finals first game later on, and I cannot watch, cos I am working. Sighhhhhh! Will update again tonight.
Left home 15 minutes earlier… and I still managed to punch in at 8.01am, which is 1 minute off, which means approx. $5 gone again. Wheeee! Fuck.
Stayed back for 1.5hours to help Clement with typing, as well as to offset the numerous no-pay leaves that I have taken thus far (one more coming up next Friday), so I reckon that I should try to coax him into giving me more work (desk-bound) on the days that I can work. Next week would be a good start, as I have only 1 lecture (or was it 2?).
Fetched dear to Novena Square to get her facial cream, only to find out that the shop had moved out. Booyakasha! Had to travel alllllllllllllll the wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to Tampines to get her facial cream then. Super tired lah!
Ate sliced fish noodles at this kopitiam, which I would like to add, has a heck of a lot of foreign things lah! First, when I first carried dear's bowl over to her, I realised that there was this superbly thin and long insect. She continued eating after pulling it out, which was rare, but good, save money. Haha… next, I encountered a metal shaving in my tofu! Nabei! Then, dear saw a hair in her soup. Great, and finally… I saw a worm in my soup. Sian ½ lor.
Unsatisfied, we then ordered this diced chicken tomato sauce spaghetti. Bloody hell, the chicken is from the next stall's chicken rice lor. And, it wasn't fantastic. Wah lao… sibei sian lor. So, full yet unsatisfied, we decided to head home.
Hungry now. Bah.
