That’s what work is for me.

I’m tired. Sick of work. Sick of all the nonsense that I have to put up while working. Tired with having to put up with all the old foggies who can’t see common sense prevailing over their “30 years of bus building experience”. Ugh.

I just made the single most expensive purchase of my Neopets life. A 600,000np purchase of a Baby Paint Brush that made my Kau into a Baby Kau.

Ouch, painful! Though it’s not real cash, that 600,000np is kinda like equal to 60 days of np earning. Sigh…

An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45
years old highly educated son.

Suddenly a crow perched on their window.  The Father asked his Son, “What is
this?”

The Son replied “It is a crow”.

After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, “What is this?”The Son said “Father, I have just now told you “It’s a crow”.

After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, What is this?”
At this time some ex-pression of irritation was felt in the Son’s tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff.

“It’s a crow, a crow”.

A little after, the Father again asked his Son the 4th time, “What is this?”

This time the Son shouted at his Father, “Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times ‘IT IS A CROW’. Are you not able to understand this?”

A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old
tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening
a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the
following words were written in the diary :-

“Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a
crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and
I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly
each time he asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I
did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child”.
While the little child asked him 23 times “What is this”, the Father had
felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when
today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt
irritated and annoyed.

So..

If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a
burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and
kind to them. Be considerate to your parents. From today say this aloud, “I
want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I
was a little child. They have always showered their selfless love on me.
They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat to
make me a person presentable in the society today”.

NEW YORK – Captain America has undertaken his last mission — at least for now.

The venerable superhero is killed in the issue of his namesake comic that hit stands Wednesday, the New York Daily News reported. On the new edition’s pages, a sniper shoots down the shield-wielding hero as he leaves a courthouse.

It ends a long run for the stars-and-stripes-we aring character, created in 1941. Over the years, some 210 million copies of Captain America comic books, published by New York-based Marvel Entertainment Inc., have been sold in 75 countries.

But resurrections are not unknown in the world of comics, and Marvel Entertainment Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada said a Captain America comeback wasn’t impossible.

Still, the character’s death came as a blow to co-creator Joe Simon.

“We really need him now,” said Simon, 93, who worked with artist Jack Kirby to devise Captain America as a foe for Adolf Hitler.

The superhero was spawned when a scrawny arts student named Steve Rogers, ineligible for the army because of his poor health but eager to serve his country, agreed to a “Super Soldier Serum” injection. The substance made him a paragon of physical perfection, armed only with his shield, his strength, his smarts and a command of martial arts.

In the comic-book universe, death is not always final. But even if Captain America turns out to have met his end in print, he may not disappear entirely: Marvel is developing a Captain America movie.

The Company is profitable, there’s no doubt about it. But, their man-management could do with LOTSA fine tuning.

Took no-pay leave today to head down to the place for an interview. The lady who called, asked me to head to the Goodwood Florist side.

I went there, and was greeted by a,”Oh, erhm, sollie. Think you must go upstrars becOs we are not looking for any staff.”

Jolly me smilesd and said my thanks, and proceeded upstairs.

I repeat, lousy man-management skills.

And that was what I felt was lacking when I headed up. The ladies were bickering with one another. This auntie asked me what I was looking for, and when I asked her, she asked someone whom I presumed was her Supervisor.

“Ask him what position is he looking for. Can’t you see that I’m busy here?!”

Good Lord.

After telling her the position that I had applied for, she  said to the auntie to tell me, but it was loud enough for me to hear that I was not needed there.

The auntie (kind enough but, you know lah, aunties) guided me down to… guess where? The same place where I was rejected.

The lady there then went,” Oops. Sollie! But we’re looking for a lady to fill in.”

Anyways, just now, while I was having my lunch, playing FM07 and Neopets. Guess what? The lady called me and asked if I wanted another interview. Which I rejected.

Bitch.

Update!

I was wrong. So wrong.

Took MRT to AMK to send Ai Ling back, from Novena to AMK. I WAS DISTURBED! The pushing and shoving, the kiasu kiasi aunties squeezing their way in, the inconsiderate folks… UGH!

*****

I’ve done lots of walking yesterday, and today, and will be doing so for the next few days.

Reason being, my bike needs an engine overhaul! $600… and it hurts, right here, in the center of my wallet. Sigh!

Took lots of buses yesterday and today, all of which were unpleasant. The stench, the crampness, ugh. However, one thing though. Took MRT today, and was pleasantly surprised by the space that the re-groomed MRT cabs had. Nothing like the horror stories that I’ve read about previously in Ah 9’s blog. Thank Goodness for that! When was the last time I took an MRT… ? Scary, thinking about it.

Oh well, just finished gym, waiting for Ai Ling to finish up. Will blog more soon, promise!
