I’ll be going on a break from basketball, commencing from Saturday 30th June. Reasons are because of my injured thumb which I’ve been injuring ever-so-often these past few sessions, as well as to reflect on my performances thus far.
Well, on another note… Ai Ling and myself got our Wedding bands at Goldheart (VivoCity). Thanks to Eshlyn for helping us out with it, lest we get lost. Ha!
Another note, the Rabid Wolverine Chris Benoit strangled his wife, suffocated his 7 year old son, then hung himself from a gym machine’s pulley. Tragic!!!
Barcelona have confirmed Thierry Henry is due in Spain this evening to put the finishing touches to his move from Arsenal.
Should the transfer be finalised later today Henry is set to undergo his medical with the Spanish giants tomorrow before being presented as the club’s first major summer signing in the afternoon.
A statement on the Barcelona website read: ‘Thierry Henry arrives this evening in Barcelona on a private flight. ‘This Monday the French striker will undergo his medical at Barcelona’s medical centre at the Nou Camp and his scheduled presentation will be in the afternoon.
‘The presentation consists of a press conference at the `Paris Room’ at Barcelona’s premises, and afterwards the player will go out onto the pitch at the Nou Camp for the first time as a Barcelona player. ‘This final act will be open to the general public. ‘All that remains are to smooth out some details of the operation between the three parties involved in the agreement, that is Arsenal, Barcelona and Thierry Henry.’

GOOD LORDIE! Guess ah 9 and the rest of them g00ners are g0nna faint now. There goes the season.
Yep, that’s right folks. I’m sick, again. Bloody hell. This time it’s the works. 38 degree fever, flu, sore throat and body aches. A friend told me to look out for Dengue signs. I did admit that I was bitten by mosquitoes (they are ALL Aedes mosquitoes) on Monday. Oh well…
well. What this means is that there is no basketball for me on Friday, and the earliest day for ball would be on the following Monday.
Stupid managers! I hate them all!!!!!!
The ball game yesterday was solid… enjoyed most of it, cept for the period spent on the sidelines.
Hope it continues.
It was an impromptu thingy. We went to this ‘Living Concepts’ exhibition at the Expo, in the hope of finding ideas for the renovation, but we ended up getting a bridal package that cost $2,888.
Paid a deposit of $1,500 before we left… was it too fast? Should we have gone sourcing for others first? I don’t know… but I felt that it was alright, as it was within our budget. *prays for everything to turn out right*
Yes yes. I know. It’s been long. Too long.
I didn’t really spare a thought for the writer’s side of me, when I concentrated on other aspects rather than blogging / writing / reading. 24 hours just isn’t enough….
Anyways… it’s gonna be hectic for me in a few month’s time. Lotsa things to be done. Marriage Preparation Course, sourcing out for renovators to do up the present house, heading to the Church to sign and go through the Pre-nuptial forms, sourcing for good and cheap Bridal packages, and of course….. levelling up for Maple Story and doing the normal stuff that I do best, basketball and gym. Ha!
Today is officially the second day of work at my ‘new’ workplace, yet it feels draggy. Why shouldn’t it? I’m still working at the same place, in the same office, with the same crappy people. The only difference is that I don’t have to punch card anymore. Rather, it’s swiping of my IC (for the moment).
On the Football front. Newcastle is having some takeover talks with England’s 25th richest man. Why isn’t he the 5th richest or something? Oh well… hope he gets it and leads Newcastle to something greater in the near future. Scott Parker (the captain) was sold to West Ham Utd for a fee which has yet to be confirmed.
On the Basketball front, there are two. Firstly, there’s the NBA Finals, which I unfortunately have not watched for the past 4-5 years since work and the Finals clash. This year, Spurs have tied up the Western side, while Detroit trails to Cleveland after King James stunned them for 48 points in a double-OT win. Hope (though I like Pistons) that Cavs make it to the Finals.
Secondly. basketball at CCC has been fluctuating between poor to great these past 3 weeks. I guess that it has something to do with fatigue and some self-doubt. But Monday’s game, I threw away some doubt to play pretty decently. Hope that continues. It sucks missing 20 treys in a row. Bah!
“Going to the Chapel and we’re… gonna get marrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrried…”
