December 2008

This morning, my dear and I headed down to Gallery Hotel for one of my good friends, Andrew, and Josephine underwent R.O.M.

A short post nonetheless, but I would like to wish these two lovey-dovies a hearty congratulations!

.. that we should prevent Malaysians from buying Singapore registered vehicles. I’m not being Anti-Malaysian or anything, but here are my points.

  1. Malaysians buy Singapore registered motorcycles, cars, and commercial vehicles, in the process, they make the market for COE more competitive. When it becomes more competitive, Singaporeans find it more expensive to buy motorcycles and cars.
  2. The difference between Singapore and Malaysian riders (Not all, but I dare say a vast majority) is that Malaysian riders are a heck more reckless when it comes to weeving in and out of traffic at the expense of their lives perhaps?
  3. There are just SO many bike lots. Our country isn’t exactly small, y’know?
  4. There are SO many riders / drivers who do NOT, I repeat, do NOT care the least about pollution. The smoke, the noise etc. Yes, I am aware that Singaporeans are equally at fault in that aspect. Therefore, I guess that it’s a matter of integrity, principles.

I still had some thoughts on this topic, but I can’t remember them off hand. Oh well.

What are your views on this topic?

Each and everyday I tell myself,” Alex, you look here. There are so many things that you know you want to blog about. So, do it!”

Each and every night, I sit down on my chair, look and stare at my pc, play a bit of Neopets, and decide to go to bed.

Where’s the friggin’ motivation?

Seriously, I think about the days of young. When I used to dash up Bukit Timah Hill wearing 5kg leg weights, in the hope that my unorthodox training might help me to improve in basketball. When I used to head on down to the gym 2 times a day, everyday, in the hope that I might be able to sculpt my body to look more like a Narcissist. When I used to check every Tom, Dick and Harry’s website, in the hope that I might share a view or something, to comment and say hey, that’s what I thought too!

I wonder where the Alex of young is.
